बंगलादेशमा भएको गत टीट्वेन्टी विश्वकपमा टीट्वेन्टी मान्यता नेपालसँग नभए पनि त्यहाँ खेलेका तीन खेलमा टीट्वेन्टी अन्तर्राष्ट्रियको मान्यता पाएको थियो। त्यसपछि आईसीसीको बोर्ड बैठकले नेपाल र नेदरल्यान्ड्सलाई टीट्वेन्टी अन्तर्राष्ट्रियको मान्यता दिएको थियो। त्यसयता नेपालले हङकङसँग एक खेल र नेदरल्यान्ड्ती संग तिन खेलको शृंखला खेल्यो। टीट्वेन्टी विश्वकप छनोट प्रतियोगितामा कमजोर प्रदर्शनसँगै नेपालको टीट्वेन्टी अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय मान्यता गुमेको छ। विश्वकप छनोट यात्रा समाप्त भएसँगै नेपालले टीट्वेन्टी अन्तर्राष्ट्रियको मान्यता पनि गुमाएको हो। यद्यपि नेपाल आईसीसीको मुख्य वरीयतामा भने रहिरहनेछ।
