TU scraps connection to National Medical College


In the midst of feedback from different quarters, the Tribhuvan University on Wednesday rejected the connection to National Medical College.

Not long after the test council presented a report, the official board of trustees of the TU rejected the impermanent alliance of National Medical College.

Prior on September 3, the TU had chosen to put the choice of allowing connection to Kathmandu National Medical College "on hold" and said that choice to concede association to National Medical College "won't be executed until further notice".

Leader Sher Bahadur Deuba, in his ability as the TU chancellor, had likewise summoned Vice-chancellor Tirtha Raj Khaniya, and educated him to scrap the choice to give alliance the medicinal school.

On Saturday, Dr Govinda KC had cautioned of arranging another appetite strike if the legislature did not take any unmistakable measures to scrap the association allowed to the Medical College.

Prior on August 31, announcing the alliance conceded to the Kathmandu National Medical College as illicit, the Nepal Medical Association (NMA) had requested a prompt abrogation of the choice.

The TU conceded association to the therapeutic school on August 27, on the fourth day of Dr Govinda KC's eleventh quick unto-demise requesting that no new restorative universities ought to be permitted in Kathmandu Valley for the following 10 years.
